Ughhhh. . . cravings can be so very hard to get passed.  I really struggle to curb my sweet tooth.  One of the alternatives I have found to be most effective in satisfying my dreaded cravings is tea!

Reach for some flavorful tea!  Tea is my number one go to, to help kick my cravings.  Not only will tea help you kick your cravings, it has many health benefits and also aids in weight loss.  Tea comes in many flavors such as, green tea, black tea, herbal tea, and flavored.  You have many options to choose from so next time a craving sneaks up drink up some tea!

No-Bake White Chocolate Protein Balls

No-Bake White Chocolate Protein Balls
Protein balls are a great pre-workout snack that will give you just enough energy to get going with out filling you up.  This is a quick and simple recipe to make and it is deeeelicious.  The recipe that inspired this is http://www.muscleandfitnesshers.com/recipes/no-bake-protein-oat-bars You can see I substituted the agave nectar by adding more peanut butter and honey.  I also added flaxseed (I add this in basically everything I bake) which is a great source of omega-3 essential fatty acids "the good fats" and also contains a good amount of fiber.

Ingredients:
4 c.
Old fashioned oats
2 sc.
½ c.
1 ¾ c.
¼ c.
2 tsp.
½ c.
Vanilla flavor protein powder
Honey
Natural peanut butter
Flaxseed
Cinnamon
White Chocolate chips (or dark choc, nuts, etc.)
Note:  you can add whatever you would like in place of chocolate chips

Directions:
  • Combine all dry ingredients (quick oats, protein powder, flaxseed, & cinnamon) in bowl.  Then mix in remaining ingredients adding the chocolate chips last.
  • Place parchment paper on a baking sheet.  Mold mixture into balls using hand and place on baking sheet.
  • Refrigerate protein balls for about 30 min. and enjoy!
